Our second-act careers are certainly a new and extended career stage, but they also represent what financial planner Justin Smith calls a “Victory Lap.” After building expertise, successes (and maybe some failures along the way), and learning invaluable lessons, it’s time at this point in our lives to claim our value.

We’re not so much striving to prove ourselves as to apply all that we know in more effective and more helpful ways. By establishing a clear value proposition and delivering measurable results, our Victory Lap is our ability to uplift and inspire others to create their own successes.
