The author of “What’s Next? Finding Your Passion and Your Dream Job in Your Forties, Fifties and Beyond” said aging well involves being financially, physically and spiritually fit. She walks her dog several miles a day, rides horses, and drinks a lot of water. “A can-do-spirit feels good,” said Hannon, of Washington, D.C. “Many people rely on outside elements to make them feel youthful and defy aging, such as skin lotions or diets. But aging well comes from within. It’s an attitude — a can-do openness to learning new things and meeting new people, going places — that keeps us stimulated and relevant.”
