What is “unretirement?”<\/span><\/span><\/span>Well, it’s not necessarily about _not_ retiring, but it is about re-thinking the whole concept of retirement and updating our expectations, plans, and concept of what the end of our career is going to look like.Rather than the traditional “one day you’re on, the next day you’re gone” concept, unretirement is a more gradual and more nuanced approach to sustaining our careers in a manageable, flexible, way. It’s about continuing to earn an income so that we can continue to save towards eventual retirement, and do so in a way that makes sense, allows us more freedom, but also provides tangible value for our employer – our client(s) if we decide to consult or start a business.<\/p>\n
