If you\u2019re a seasoned professional who\u2019s looking for work, you\u2019re not alone. In\u00a0a recent retirement survey from Wells Fargo<\/a>, three-fourths of respondents stated that they plan on working past age 65.<\/p>\n

My friend Bill, 54, who currently has a part-time gig, but has been aggressively looking for a full-time job for months, called to tell me he had heard of the \u201cperfect\u201d job at a great company. Problem was, he wasn\u2019t sure he knew anyone working there who might be able to get his virtual resume noticed. \u201cWithout a real connection, it\u2019s like sending a message in a bottle, or shooting an arrow in the air,\u201d he told me.<\/p>\n
